A good business plan is key to getting the grant money!
by Zack
Creating a business plan may be the last thing on your mind as you look for support but trust me - a good business plan can be literally the difference between success and failure.

Now that has investigated its business potential, it's time to organize their thoughts and put them on paper. As you do this, you'll see a business plan before your eyes! It will take some time and thought, but the process is easier than you might think.

Here is an easy way to create your business plan. It helped me tremendously because I tend to think in blocks of thought rather than sit and write for hours at a time. Keep a "Business Plan" notebook with you and write down their thoughts as they come to you. Then, writes in his draft, when you're at home or office. Since you're looking for someone to fund his idea, you want the best of his thoughts included in its final business plan.

What should be your business plan include? You need to articulate their potential source of grant exactly how to run the business. Be specific and provide concrete examples in their business plan, which match what the source of grant're looking for.

List the daily decision makers in their business plan emphasized his experience or knowledge. The source of subsidy will feel more confident of their dollars are not wasted and that the return on investment will be worth it.

The proposed budget in its business plan must line with what the source of subsidy is looking to fund. Pay particular attention to what you have in your proposed budget is something that the grant will allow spending money. There is nothing worse than having a good idea, a solid business plan, but not the funding, because you have not read what you are allowed to spend the money. Make sure your business plan coincides with what we're spending with what the source of subsidy is willing to finance.

Above all, be willing to put time and energy into writing your business plan. A couple of hours in the beginning will pay off significantly in the final. I wish him the best of luck - now you go a little money!
